So we had just spent the afternoon in the Miles Historical Museum and it was time to pack the kids into the car and drive from Miles to Roma.
We are going to stay in Roma for a few nights.
This was part of our short holiday out to the west of Brisbane over the Christmas holiday period.
The drive from Miles to Roma is long and straight.
You just need to stay on the one road and this road is the A2 Warrego Highway.
If you are driving from the Miles Museum to Roma the distance is roughly 140km.
So the drive Miles to Roma should take you around an hour and a half.
This is if you are just cruising, looking at the sights and not looking to break any speed records on the way there.
There are plenty of little towns that you will see and pass through on this drive.
The towns you pass through include Drillham, Dulacca, Jackson, Yuleba, Wallumbilla, and Blythdale.
As you are driving in to Roma you will pass the Big Rig on your right hand side, and there are plenty of Motels and Motor Inns in Roma to choose from when you get there.
We didn’t plan to stay in any particular place when we got to Roma.
So we we’re just winging it and picking where we were going to sleep when we got there.
We stayed at the Best Western Bungil Creek Motel, which is also on the right hand side as you drive in to Roma.
You can check availability here for the Best Western Bungil Creek Motel.
This turned out to be a great place to spend a few nights at a good price, clean and tidy with helpful staff.
If you want to look at other accomodation in Roma, you can here, Stay in Roma.
Overall, the drive from Miles to Roma was an easy drive on a straight road that should take you 1 ½ hours.
