I took the drive from Biloela to Gladstone today, and it is a pretty nice drive too.
I had to be at the Gladstone Airport around 2pm and decided to leave in the morning with the kids to take in a few things to see around Gladstone first.
We left Biloela at about 9.30am and using Google Maps it said the drive would take around an hour and a half to get to the middle of the town.
Just on a side note, I was wondering if Gladstone is a city or a town?
After a bit of research a town can be called a city if the local council wants it to be.
A town is a standard term for a human settlement with more than 200 people.
If there is under 200 people it is called a township.
So Gladstone is a city in the Gladstone region.
How long, Biloela to Gladstone?
So back to the drive.
The roads are pretty good from Biloela to Gladstone and it is pretty much straight through the whole way without any turn offs at all.
Currently there is a few slow points as they are fixing the road up, and also repairing a bridge as well.
These are controlled by traffic lights that are on a timer.
So after a few stops, and keeping to the speed limit, the drive took me just over the time that Google Maps had forecast for me.
So the drive from Biloela to Gladstone took me just over an hour and a half.
Here is the link for the map for you outlining the travel by road from Biloela to Gladstone, “Drive Time for You“.
Just click on the map if you want to use it or zoom in on any section.
Also, I have to add here we were heading to the Tondoon Botanic Gardens as our fist stop, so not into the city centre like the map shows.
The trip back to Biloela was about the same drive time from the Gladstone Airport / Bunnings Gladstone area.
So it was pretty much a perfect drive time for the kids to watch a movie each way.
Enjoy your trip!
