Having worked in sales now for over a decade I felt the need to start writing down some of the things I have learnt on the way as well as some of the selling tips I have picked up too.

So you want to write your Company Value Statement?

So your thinking about writing a company value statement and don’t really know where to start?

A company value statement is a guide for you and your employees to use in their daily dealings with each other and more importantly your customers.

By writing a great value statement and having your company abide by and understand the statement you will be able to nurture mutually beneficial strategic partnerships with your customers over long periods of time.

This, in the end all going well, should help your company build more trust, rapport, and also maintain and enhance your sales growth with your customer base.

The company value statement can be divided into two parts, your vision and then the values that stem from this vision.

Are you a Modern Sales Rep?

I was going to call this “Are you a Modern Sales Hipster?” but I thought the word “Rep” was a little more timeless, so I settled on “Are you a Modern Sales Rep?”

Why the question you may ask and how does it affect the sales process?

The reason for this question is pretty simple, I was in a sales meeting for a few hours the other day with a business owner and his business development manager and the reason I was there was to plan the future of our two companies working closely together in the new direction they were heading in.

At the end of this meeting, when I was ready to get into my car, going through the final part of the meeting I asked the question, “Did anyone else get where you are coming from with this project, new direction and future plans?”

The reply was no.

And there I had the answer and this is where I got the question above.
