We recently got given a Magic Bullet blender and it makes great breakfast smoothies as well as being great for many other things.
So I thought I’d share one of my favourite current breakfast smoothies.
These breakfast smoothies are the ones I use when I don’t have much time before work and need to get out the door early, or there is too much going on with the family and it is easy to just have a quick smoothie than commit the time to a sit down breakfast.
This is what you will need to make this breakfast smoothie.
4 x Tablespoons of frozen or fresh berries
3 x Tablespoons of oats
1 x 30gm serve of protein powder (Whatever your current one is)
200ml to 250ml of water
How to make the Berry, Oats, and Protein Breakfast Smoothie
Get out the Magic Bullet or your preferred blender.
Add the above top ingredients into the bullet cup.
Add the water to suit the size of the bullet cup.
For me I then screw on the cross blade attachment to the tall bullet cup.
Then you blend until the oats and berries are a smooth texture.
Then take off the cross blade, screw on the lip ring.
Then drink and enjoy your fresh breakfast smoothie.
This breakfast smoothie as you can see above isn’t too hard in the ingredient part and you can use fresh berries or frozen berries in the mix.
If I use fresh berries in the smoothie I use cold water instead of tap water to keep the breakfast smoothie chilled.
If I use the frozen berries option I just use straight tap water as the frozen berries make the whole smoothie chilled to drink.
Lastly I might also add a bit of greens into the mix too, now I don’t mean adding in spinach or kale leaves into your blender.
Now that would be horrible.
I mean I add a dollop of chlorophyll to get a bit more antioxidants into the mix.
I am using a chlorophyll supplement at the moment that has a mint flavour to it so it give the smoothie a slight berry/mint taste but you can get berry flavoured chlorophyll liquid supplements too.
So there you have it, an easy breakfast smoothie recipe that takes care of your protein, fibre and antioxidants needs for that time of the morning and with pretty much no preparation either.
It takes longer to clean the mixer and rinse the cup than it takes to mix and drink this smoothie.
Keep an eye out for my next favourite breakfast smoothie as there is quite a few smoothie recipes I rotate currently.
