Here is an easy and simple to make protein pancake mix for you, I’m trying a few things out at the moment for protein pancakes on the weekends.
This pancake recipe is a very quick one to make, the only part that takes a bit of time is the cleaning of your blender.
1 x Full egg
2 x Tablespoons of Almond Butter or similar
1/3 of a Banana
1/2 Scoop of vanilla protein powder or natural protein powder of choice
How to Cook and Serve the Pancakes ::
These protein pancakes are pretty easy to make as I’ve said and quick to cook too.
Put all the ingredients in your favourite blender and put it on high until completely mixed and batter like, I’ve also mixed these protein pancakes up with a fork too, takes a bit extra time, but still has the same outcome when cooking.
This amount of ingredients makes one medium size pancake, double the recipe for two pancakes and three times for, well you get the idea.
Heat your frying pan up, I usually put it on about half to ¾ maximum heat and add in your preferred cooking oil evenly spread across the frying pan, scoop the pancake mix into the pan at the size you are wanting, make sure they aren’t too thick for cooking.
Brown on one side and then flip to brown the other side, the best time to flip is when the protein pancake is almost cooked through from the other side.
Serve on your plate and eat.
You can slightly change each ingredient level to suit depending on how you like your pancakes too and also the volume of the ingredients to get more protein pancakes, whilst not the most elaborate recipe for protein pancakes and also volume wise not the biggest amount of ingredients to make protein pancakes too by increasing the ingredients you can up the protein content in them.
You can also add extra fruit around the side of your plate too if one protein pancake isn’t enough.
And again the banana can be substituted with a different fruit of your choice, if I use berries instead I also add a bit of reds type antioxidant powder into the mix as well, this makes the protein pancakes a bit on the red side and a bit unusual looking, but you can’t do much about it.
So, another protein pancake recipe for you, a bit easier to make and with the same result at the end, a nice little pancake mix with a bit of extra protein to boot.
