Back here again with another easy to make protein shake, I’m having a bit of a break from the protein pancakes and so I thought with how time poor I am at the moment I’d let you know about a few variations of the humble protein shake starting with this Breakfast Banana Oats Protein Shake.
Now this shake does need a blender or a hand held blender at least, it mixes up pretty well, tastes great and with only 4 ingredients and it is very easy and delivers high protein, carbs and also fibre at the same.
200ml to 250ml of skim milk
1 x Banana of any size
½ x cup of porridge oats (Quick Oats)
2 x Scoops of your protein powder (I just use whatever I’m currently using)
How to Prepare and Serve the Protein Shake ::
If you are using a blender or the hand held blender the process is pretty much the same, you would just use a bowl or a jug with the hand held and put all the ingredients in there instead.
- Plug the blender in
- Pour the skim milk into the blender
- Cut up the banana or put the banana into the blender
- Add the cup of porridge oats
- Add the 2 scoops of your current protein powder
- Important, make sure at this time to “Put the blender lid on”
- Switch on blender and blend until smooth
- Pour in to shaker cup and drink
You may see the important point six in this process, I emphasise this because over the years, I admit I have had a few brain explosions and forgotten to do this.
Now if you happen to forget to put the lid on you will end up with your Breakfast Banana Protein Shake all over the floor, walls and worst case scenario the roof, if you are making this protein shake to save time, you have just lost it all because it will take you a long time to tidy this mess up.
Other than that, that is it, an easy process that delivers your body the nutrients it needs quickly.
Sometimes it is easier to use the hand held bar mixer as it is a lot easier to clean than the blender, most blenders you have to pull apart to clean all the pieces and with the hand held mixer you can just rinse it off and also just quickly wash out the bowl you have mixed the ingredients up in.
So enjoy the Breakfast Banana Oats Protein Shake, of course this is so simple you can add a lot of different ingredients into it, different fruits, different protein powders and you could even add a pinch of cinnamon to this and it would still taste great.
