I had a long drive today and I thought I’d write about the travel time from Brisbane to Gladstone for you.
Now when travelling for my last job role I usually drive from Brisbane to Rockhampton first and then come back through Gladstone on the way home, but with my new sales role the option of driving to Gladstone first from Brisbane made alot more sense and also means I can be a bit more productive.
The drive from Brisbane to Gladstone wasn’t as bad as it used to be in regards to road works and really is a great, easy drive at this time of year coming into winter.
I mean as there wasn’t a massive amount of caravans making their annual pilgrimage up north and also I noticed another thing too, not as many trucks around either.
I’m not sure if this lack of trucks on the roads up north is a sign of the times in regards to Queensland as a state slowing down in the mining sector and also the other industries around the mining sector slowing too, but I definitely noticed that there was certainly less than I remember there use to be.
I travelled from Brisbane to Gladstone early in the morning and arrived at around 10am and so you think during these times that the traffic would be as normal as it can be.
