Queen Street Mall Brisbane = La Rambla Barcelona?

This may seem like a funny question to you, but I have noticed, as I travel into Brisbane City a fair bit these same street performers turning up with the same look as the ones in Barcelona La Rambla.

How do I know, I have been to La Rambla and seen them all there in their glory.

What started off as one man by the railway entrance next to King George Square has turned in to two and now three street performers.

Here is a picture of one of them so you get a feel for what they are like.

Don’t get me wrong, we all have to make money somehow but I just hope it doesn’t turn into a really big thing and we end up with 20 or 30 of them scattered down the mall, especially through the lunch hour as it is packed enough and I’d say it would take away from the area rather than add to the experience of the mall.

I’ll keep you updated, Adios.
