Brisbane Barber Shop Bucket List, I’m looking for Brisbane’s Best Barber

Written by Troy Spro

I have had enough, that’s it, after changing job roles and not seeing my main man down the Gold Coast for a chop chop I’ve had bad after bad experience for haircuts on Brisbane’s Northside and the time had come to change what I was doing and go on a search for Brisbane’s best barber shop, or at least Brisbane’s best barber shop for me.

This dilemma all started when I had a career change after working for the same company for around ten years, this meant a job change and also the areas I cover were changed from the whole of Queensland to just the Northside of Brisbane up to Rockhampton.

With this change it meant that I wasn’t down on the Gold Coast as often as I was, as I was means never now, so I had to find an alternative hair dresser or barber on the Northside of Brisbane.

I have been in the last 4 months through many run of the mill hair dressers and barber shops in and out of the shopping centre’s, individual owned shops and chain shops and all I wanted was a decent haircut with a bit of style and consistency in my cut and also in the experience of the cut.

That’s not much to ask is it these days in a cut, is it?

Brisbane Barber Shop

So I started to scour a little harder for barbers and barber shops in Brisbane with the intention of making a bucket list of barbers that I will endeavor to visit over time and write about the experience here.

Also as a bit of a twist and also having a personality that thinks things through, I have also decided that I’ll go from cut to cut by letting my hair grow out a fair bit before I hit the barber and become blank slate for them to work their magic.

My hair is very Will Ferrell like when it grows and so it will be great for before and after shots too which I’ll put up after each visit.

So it should be a great experience, I’m sure I’ll meet a lot of great people and have some fun on the way and what a way to experience Brisbane differently than a 14 or so month Barber crawl through the city and its surrounding suburbs.

If you want to add to this list feel free to add below in the comments, I don’t really want the mum and dad barber shops though although I may get to them in the end.

I have already been to one of the shops below and got a chop chop, but I didn’t take any shots and my Brisbane barber crawl has evolved over the last days so I will be back to see them and write about them too in time.

And if you want to see where I am at, feel free to favourite this page and see where my Brisbane Barber Shop quest will take me.

If the shop’s name is highlighted below, it means I have been there, so just click on the shops name and it will take you through to their Barber Shop Review.

Also you will have the Barber Shop contact details, address and phone number at the bottom of these pages too.

      Hello Gunther,

No I haven’t seen that Barber as yet.

Looks good though, I’m just on Old Mate’s website now.

I’ll add them to the list, thanks!

Are you going to do any more shave reviews? You’ve done one, but from the other reviews you have a beard. It would be nice to mention in the review whether the barbershops do shaves, even if you don’t have one yourself. I’m always looking for a good shave.

      Hello Rob,

Thanks for the visit and the feedback too.

I did start getting shaves before I grew my beard and haven’t done any since as I have had it for a few years now.

I’ll make sure to include this info in the next ones and also update any others with a note at the bottom too over time.

Again thanks for the visit and also the request too!
