We bought out wooden outdoor timber setting a while back.
It was quite a bit of work to set up as it came in boxes and I had to bleed it too, so very time consuming and also it used a lot of water too.
Part of the care and maintenance of the timber outdoor setting is keeping it oiled, this protects it from the weather and specifically here in Brisbane, the Queensland summer months where the sun roasts everything and the heat is up there too.
So what I had to do as I had to do originally was put a few coast of oil on all the chairs and the tables, so oiling the wooden outdoor timber setting had to be done from the start.
I was told, when we bought the timber setting that we would probably have to oil it every six months or so, but it was starting to look a bit dry so I made the choice to do it now rather than let it get to bad.
I did this over the two days above as I only had a little time to do it on the 24th, so I did the table and four chairs, and then finished it off on the 25th with finishing the rest of the chairs off, so all in all I’d say about a two and a half hour to three hour job.
