Now I have written about Everlong by the Foo Fighters before because it made my Rock Show list, it is a great song and also I found an acoustic version of the song quite a while back which got me thinking I would add it to this section of music, so learn how to play Everlong by the Foo Fighters here, simply on the acoustic guitar.
I started this section with just writing about the songs I like and I thought I would list the guitar chords and lyrics with them too so I could easily find them when I want too and also over time have a killer acoustic set to play as well if ever needed.
As I have said about Everlong before, it is a great song that gives me goose bumps pretty much every time I hear it.
This song is a little different in the lay out and also just easier to write down the chords in sections and list the lyrics.
For example if you see “Intro” you play the “Intro” section of chords there and once you run through it a few times you’ll get it, just be a little patient.
The Pre Chorus and Bridge are just an easy octave fingering too, so once you get the knack of this and know what and how to mute certain strings with your fingers you should be good to go for these sections too.
Also note the drop D tuning on this song, make sure your bottom E id tuned down to D, the easiest way to do this is to pluck your D string and E string at the same time and tune the E down until it sits on the same note as the D, easy!

I hope you have enjoyed learning how to play Everlong by the Foo Fighters on acoustic guitar as much as I have, it is a bit daunting at the beginning to get your head around a few things but I found the easiest way to learn is to watch and listen to Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters on YouTube, just type in “Foo Fighters Everlong Live Acoustic” and you will see many different live concert recordings of Everlong pop up for you to watch.
Keep an eye out for my next acoustic guitar song chords and lyrics.
