03 9452 9517 were the next lot of missed phone calls to come through.
This number has started to come through after the last lot of calls from the other spam phone number.
They are the same too, no message, straight hang up.
After doing a bit of investigating I have found out it is a company I have nothing to do with and I have never even been on their website either.
So who was calling me on 03 9452 9517?
This company is iSelect.
I’m guessing that there might be either a secondary sell off of personal details to a 3rd party after the last company couldn’t get a reply, or were too incompetent to be actually on the line when I answered.
Or it is a scam through the phone book to get me to look at their “Pay for Click” link that comes up when you Google the phone number 03 9452 9517.
The link has this information on it.
“Being called by iSelect?
We have tried calling to help? (Ad www.facebook.com/iselect?)
Visit this link to stop calls”
This, of course takes you to one of their Facebook App Page, where you see their latest deal as the header.
You do have the option of entering your details into their Facebook Page to stop the calls, but it makes you wonder if you aren’t meant to be getting them in the first place, why would you hand over your phone number to them to stop them?
When you call the phone number 03 9452 9517, you get a message bank message similar, but not quite the same as the one below.
Hello,
You have reached iSelect.
If you have received a call from this number it is in regards to your recent enquiry about health insurance, income insurance, life insurance, car insurance, TPD insurance, funeral insurance, home insurance, contents insurance, broadband internet, electricity, gas, or whatever else insurance or service we think you may need, that we can fit into this message, when you supposedly have given us your details.
So feel free to call us on this 131 number, not the number we call you on, so you will pay for this callback for you to ask us why you are receiving so many phone calls from us daily.
Thanks in advance,
iSelect
Like the other spam calls, I wonder when these will stop?
Also, who gave them my phone numbers too?
