Our Costco membership was coming up for renewal, as I knew it has almost been a year since I signed up I was wondering before I visited next about renewing our Costco membership in store.
Because I signed up prior to the store opening I haven’t had the experience of renewal of membership as yet so it is a learning curve.
And true to form, Costco makes it pretty easy to renew your membership in store and also from the comfort of your home.
Here is what they say on the Costco website about renewing your membership.
“Renewing, Adding or Deleting Cards
The primary member must authorise renewal or cardholder changes, including additions or deletions, and is responsible for the membership.
You will receive a renewal notice each year.
Renewal fees are due no later than the last day of the month your membership expires.
You may remit your renewal fee online at www.costco.com.au or at any Australian warehouse.
Membership renewal must be completed for all cardholders on the membership when the renewal is processed.
You will not receive new membership cards each year.
Memberships renewed within 2 months after expiration of the current membership year will be extended for 12 months from the expiration date.
Memberships renewed more than 2 months after such expiration will be extended for 12 months from the renewal date.”
As you can see there are a few options for in store and out and I’m sure if I hadn’t taken any of these I would of received either an extra email or a phone call.
These are the options in store.
You can either go to the customer service desk at the front of the store and ask for your membership to be renewed.
Or, as I had happen to me, the check out person told me that my membership is due very soon and seeing I am already here shopping and handing over my cash would I like to pay now for another years membership?
Sure I said and it was as easy as that, so here’s to another year at Costco.
Happy shopping!
