The office renovation to me was more important than the laundry renovations and the wardrobes too for obvious reasons, mainly the fact is that the hugs n kisses won’t let me near the clothes or anything to do with washing or drying them and I spend a lot of time at the computer either working or listening to music or both.
The office was an old typical wooden office desk (This was grey with a fabric type top on it) and this white shelf that was built around it on one side, we also had our two book shelves in there and also the filing cabinet, so practical but not stylish, modern or a good use of the space that is available to us.
The old desk will be retired to my bottom man shed to be used as a work bench or if I feel the need to design anything in the future I have it all setup and ready to go.
We had a few ideas of our own for the office renovations but our renovation expert we used, which is the same as the laundry and wardrobes, was up to the task again and I have to say his suggestion from when we talked about it, through to seeing it on paper all laid out was fantastic, we won’t know ourselves when it finally is finished and we can set it up properly.
We had to go through the same process as the laundry renovation too, picking the colours for the desk top, skirting boards, cupboards and the handles too.
We picked the colours a little differently from the laundry, there is a sort of light grey coloured mild wood grain pattern for the desk top with different shade of white for the cupboard doors, the handles we are using in this room renovation are the same as the laundry as well, just so there is a little of the same in each room.
We ended up utilizing every last piece of space in the office renovation for storage and so we can’t wait for it to be knocked up and in, there is also plenty of shelves for books in there too, which is great as we pretty much have enough to fill these shelves with books and photos too.
So the renovations have started from the time of writing this, very exciting stuff and I can’t wait to write more about it.
