Where should we travel to and what’s our travel destination, this is probably the most important question you will have to ask yourself and your other family members once you have made the decision to travel in the first place.
As you can imagine there are many things to consider before you travel or start the planning phase to travel, most of these are on my main list on Planning a Holiday Overseas.
When we plan holidays, in particular overseas holidays we have a rule of thumb (I say we loosely as it’s the hugs n kisses rule and I just abide), “Don’t go where you have been before”.
This means we probably won’t double up on holidays during our life time, except to New Zealand for me to see family, sure we will have great memories of each place and also, in saying this, places where we wish we had more time in the one place (South of France and Venice to name a few), but there is plenty to see and travel to in this big world and so the plan is to see a lot more once the squids are a bit older.
Every trip has a destination and if you are looking to travel you need to have firstly have decided where you are going, pick a few places that take your interest and do a bit of research before you head down to your local travel agent.
The internet is a great place to find out about your destination in the first instance during this planning stage, we look at many places, this includes google, travel blogs and youtube (People post up their videos about their trip and also the resorts or hotels they have stayed in)to name a few.
Write notes, save and print pages as you find them as this will make your choice a bit easier later on if you need to pick between two places to travel to.
Once we have a few holidays or countries we like, then we start going through the rest of the planning travel questions to see if they suit the rest of the criteria for our travel.
So if you have answered the questions “ Where should we travel to and what’s our travel destination ” you are on the way to getting your holiday travel underway.
