This is our local pizza shop and it is the first time we have been there to use after just shifting into the area.
I had a quick look on reviews through google to see if there was anything I had to know about this pizza place.
Most of the reviews for Narangba Village Pizza were “One Off” reviewers which triggers alarm bells with me as why would you review one place on a website and then move on unless you were the opposition.
The current theme throughout from reviewers (that have been reviewing other restaurants) other than the great food and no eftpos was the wait time, which in this day and age we aren’t use too, but I tell you the pizza was worth the wait.
We rung through the order, was told it was a 40 minute wait which is fair enough, drove down after 40 minutes and there were plenty of people waiting.
Went in and paid cash, referring back to this, a lot of businesses that have been around for many years still operate using cash, the pizza was worth the extra effort of not using the credit card, the price for quality can’t be denied too, you get what you pay for with pizza and sometimes you forget how much flavour a great pizza can have compared to the mass produced variety, which still has its place too.
The wait time was about 20 minutes longer than the man on the phone had said but again, it was worth the wait.
When you are waiting, there is plenty to watch, the pizza chef out the back is getting the dough ready and getting the ingredients onto the bases and then into the oven, I’m not sure if it’s the owner of the business but basically form what I can tell, the chef has control of the pizza from the order through to putting it into oven, this I bet is a quality control thing so he knows that he is putting out the best pizza’s he can, they didn’t win Brisbane’s Best Pizza for nothing.
When my order come out, two vegetarian pizza’s and two garlic breads, I was ready to eat, hanging around waiting and taking in all the smells and seeing people leave, people already eating their pizza just adds to the build up and gets the taste buds ready to go.
I couldn’t believe the weight in these boxes, 15 inch pizza’s, heavily laden with ingredients waiting to feed the two families, also I must add too, piping hot and hot until we served them at home.
Arrived home and what a delight, the pizza was great and full of flavour, garlic bread was also not just a home brand nasty one and so very good too, I have to add as it is the next day now too, no sodium hangover from this pizza, when you wake up the next morning and you feel like you have licked gravel from too much salt, nothing with these pizza’s.
So, if you want one of the best pizzas in Brisbane, are willing to wait for the quality and pay cash, Narangba Village Pizza on the Northside of Brisbane is the place for you and I would highly recommend it and so would the grandparents and kids.
They have around 21 varieties of pizza, 4 sizes of pizza, kid’s pizzas and also offer drinks, deserts, ribs, pasta, gluten free pizza and more.
Closed on Mondays and open every other day from 4pm to 9m except for Sunday which is 4pm to 8pm.
