Now anyone who has been here before knows that I have been following the Costco in Brisbane construction and I can say after getting an email from Costco during the week that Costco in Brisbane is definitely getting closer to them announcing a grand opening date and also getting closer for construction completion too.
I received an email from the Costco team on the 21st of March which first thanks me for being interested in the new store and then also lets me know the warehouse and fuel station are almost complete, the fresh dept is next on the construction list and that they are hoping to be able to move stock into the new Costco by the end of April.
The big news on this email is that they hope to announce the opening date of the Costco North Lakes in the coming weeks.
I’d say they will have to see that they are definitely on track for completion and it is all going to schedule in regards to construction before they announce the opening date.
With the rain that is coming for the rest of the week here in Brisbane I’d say they will be happy they got the roof on their buildings and also that, as you can see in the pictures below that they have had a lot of the earth moving done as the water will be able to run away, it might be a great time to check for roof leaks too.
As you can see there has been quite a bit of change in the outside of the Brisbane Costco even in the last week as they finalise the outside landscaping.
At the bottom of the email I received it also had the information for getting a membership for Costco North Lakes and also how you can book a Costco Reception, a Costco Reception is where a Costco Rep comes around to your workplace or organisation and gives a presentation about all things Costco and then arranges your membership while they are there.
Lastly in the email they let you know where the temporary Costco North lakes office is if you want to go and beat the rush and sign up for a membership prior to opening, for all of you who have missed this address, here it is again.

I have still been too busy with work and family to drag myself down to the temporary office and I am hoping to get there this week before Friday, hopefully there maybe be extra hints down there of when it is opening too.
So as you can see from these final pictures there has been plenty of activity outside, also around the back end of the building too that I can see from the highway there is many changes happening too.
It isn’t a bad advertising bill board too for Costco having it so close to the highway.
These last pictures of the Costco in Brisbane are from the side of the main building, as you can see there is still a bit to do here to finish the car park off and also as you can see also there is plenty of earth moving machinery around too.
Some of the trades and workers must of had an RDO yesterday when these were taken as there were hardly any trade vehicles around and not much movement around the site too.
You can tell from this last picture that there still is plenty of outside work to be done before the grand opening of Costco in Brisbane, but slow and steady wins the race, before we know it we will be getting emailed the opening date and locking it in the calendar.
