We went back to Balmoral Lookout again for a picnic after going to Landsborough.
We had only been here a little while ago, Balmoral Lookout.
Landsborough is a small town in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and so not really far to drive from where we are on the Northside of Brisbane.
So a couple of salad rolls whilst watching the cars roll past and a couple of kids trying to fly their kites before the rain and fog rolled in made for a memorable afternoon before heading off to see the great grandparents.
Some nice person had also left a box of mandarins for people to eat or take home, they were so juicy and had a lot of flavour fresh from the tree, sometimes you forget what they taste like when they are fresh, we haven’t had our first crop as yet of our tree where we are living.
I could see the rain and fog in the distance from when we arrived and slowly but surely we started to be engulfed by it, a great place to hang out too if it’s raining as you don’t get wet unless the wind is driving the rain sideways.
So again if you are looking for things to do in Brisbane that don’t cost you money except for making your lunch and taking in scenery, the Balmoral Lookout just out of Montville is a good place to take a drive and have a picnic to get rid of a few extra hours in the day.
