I have been away for work and all the action has taken place while I have been away, I still haven’t had an email of confirmation about the opening, but it has been announced elsewhere that the Brisbane Costco North Lakes opening will open on the 29th of May at 8am.
This information is on the main Costco Australia website, I have also seen it in a Courier Mail article, also on the Costco Geeks Facebook page which has up to date information about all the Costco’s in Australia, I always head over to this page to get a quick update and to see if anyone has heard or seen anything more than I have, also in the North Lakes Times and lastly on Channel 7 too on the 30th of April the opening date was announced too that I know of.
Now this doesn’t seem to far away does it.
And according to my last lot of pictures here of the North Lakes Costco they will sure to be getting a move on to get it up running, tested and ready to rock for the end of May.
I hope the rain can hold off for them to complete the outside area as it has been intermittent showers here in Brisbane for the last days and more rain to come I think.
As I have been away for a few days I haven’t had time to get my membership card still, so the aim is to do this over the weekend or early next week at the latest.
I’m sure the Costco Office will be humming and the excitement growing for the staff and also the people going into register early to beat the rush.
I’ll let you know how I go, other than that, just a quick update to let you know about the Costco North Lakes opening day, if you had forgotten from the above, it is opening on the 29th of May 2014.

I received an official email form Costco on the 5th of May letting me know that the date above is indeed the opening date of the first Brisbane Costco at North Lakes.
I was at Bunnings the other day too and I noticed they also had another temporary Costco Office open in front of the construction site too, this must be as well as the other one at 13 Discovery Drive.
I’ll probably be going down again in the next days to take some more pictures, I’d say the site would be changing fast now daily.
