Continuing with the firewood story, I have made the call to Rod and booked a time for the delivery of the firewood to our house, which would obviously be split and delivered firewood.
I sent a message at first and got a prompt message back in the space of around half an hour, now as I work in sales that is good going for a business.
So the messaging consisted of checking the;
- Price of the Firewood
- Delivery of the firewood to our area
- Setting day and time of delivery
Also, stocking fee may apply if he has to carry the wood too far, there is a 5m distance limit for stacking.
So the day and time were set and now we just had to wait.
The morning came and so did the delivery, Rod was on time and also at first glance I was thinking, that’s not much wood, until it was unloaded and 300kg is quite a lot and to tell you the truth, for the ease of delivery and cost, it’s only a message away to get another load in and because we aren’t sure how much firewood we will go through in a Queensland winter.
So, great service, good heavy and dry firewood, he helped unload the firewood into my storage area too.
And finally, if you want to buy the best firewood on the Northside of Brisbane I wouldn’t have any hesitation to find Rod on Facebook Marketplace and message him.
Tell him “Troy” said to call and you found out about him from Troy Spro’s website.
Who knows he may cut you a deal and you’ll save a little more, enjoy the warmth!
Lastly, just so you know, I first started using Rod for firewood this year and have been through many other suppliers since we moved here.

Thanks for the visit Wild Wood and also the very wise words about buying firewood early too.
Yes, I have been guilty of this in the past, I cannot lie.
I would say the best bet is to get on the phone as soon as Autumn hits to beat the rush?
This will also give yourself time to clean the chimney / fireplace and setup the first fire ready to go.
I hope everyone reads this and plans ahead for next winter so Wild Wood and other firewood companies blood pressure remains low when winter hits!
