I have been down to the Costco North Lakes site again here in Brisbane over the last days as I had the long break off and went to the Bunnings across the road a fair few times during the holidays.
Here is the latest pictures from the Brisbane Costco site.
As you can see they are powering ahead outside in regards to laying all the roads and car parks and I have also noticed things like the Gasoline Pumps are in now too.
I’m not sure if the powers that be have been reading what I have been writing but it looks like the main road and section leading into this area from the North and South are going to be worked on, so the exits from the highway through to the North Lakes Bunnings and Costco.
I’m guessing they are working on that whole stretch of road in the end as it certainly needs it, it maybe a bit too late for the opening of Costco here though.
You’ll have to excuse the variation in the pictures from today too as I had the little man with me as he loves Bunnings and we were on the way out from across the road and so I thought I’d take a few more pictures.
Also you can’t see from these angles, but when you are driving in from Brisbane or coming across from Narangba you see all the work being done behind the main building too and there is still plenty going on around there as well.
I’d say the construction team would be happy with the fine weather over the Easter and ANZAC period as they would of been able to keep moving ahead and get closer to the opening date.
In regards to an opening date I had a reader say that he thought it would definitely be the end of May as Costco in Australia were waiting to schedule the opening in with the American team being here too.
I haven’t seen or read this anywhere else as yet and I haven’t been emailed either yet with a firm opening date for Costco North Lakes.
As you can see from these last shots, the Costco North Lakes team certainly has a lot to do still but there is changes still happening day to day as the opening gets closer.
I have to go and catch a red eye to Sydney now, so enjoy your day and I’ll keep you in the loop if I hear anything about the opening dates.

Thanks for dropping by, I have seen on the Costco Australia website the next expression of interest is for the Kilburn Costco in South Australia.
If you keep on heading back to the Costco Australia Website or the Costco Australia Facebook page I’m sure you will be kept up to date with the next Costco opening.
I have just heard this morning too as I have been travelling that the Northlakes Costco here in Brisbane has an opening date of the 29th of May at 8am.
