What does our family do over the Christmas holidays, a short holiday road trip, because that’s what we normally do….
This year was no different with a late decision to head out to Dalby and also the Roma area, which is about a 220 km drive just to Dalby from Brisbane depending on which side of the bridge you live on.
We headed off in the car around the middle of the afternoon, you have to allow toilet stops and food breaks for trips like these when you have the little monsters angels with you.
We hadn’t planned anything for this trip other than what we were packing in the suitcases and taking the kids.
No plan in what we were going to do and no plans for how long we were going away for, we just knew we were going to travel to Dalby first, see what there was to do there and then head off to Roma after that and have a look around that area too.
We ended up staying for two nights in Dalby and then two nights in Roma so four nights away in total and I tell you what, it was a great little escape to finish off the Christmas holidays.
Here is a run down on our days away, just follow the links down the bottom of this page to get more details of the next day or if you are reading further on you can come back to this start page.
