We went to the Cottonwood walk in Deception Bay on a sunny afternoon, not there for a picnic, more so just to get out in the open air and take the kids out.
To most the deception in Deception Bay is that not many people go there or want to explore what the area has to offer.
If you are looking for things to do in Brisbane that don’t cost money except for making your lunch and hanging out, the Balmoral Lookout Montville which is just out of Montville is a good place to take a drive and have a picnic to get rid of a few hours in the day.
Or if your on your way to the Sunshine Coast or having a look around in that neck of the woods, it’s a good place to sit, eat and refresh just out of the hustle and bustle of the little towns in the area.
