The phone calls from 08 6228 4010 have started to come in thick and fast on our mobile phone and home phone too.
We have recently moved up north a bit and had to change our utilities.
This meant a new phone number through Telstra, also internet, and also a new electricity account.
So there is one change, one upgrade, and one new provider of services.
Now the phone calls from 08 6228 4010 have started pretty much as soon as the Telstra “Welcome, we hope your move was ok” phone calls and texts stopped.
So doing a bit of searching, as everyone does, you find out it is a 3rd Party Telemarketing Company called TSA.
They do the outbound marketing for Telstra, they also pretend to be Telstra from what I have read so far.
They must use the standard telemarketing switch software where they pre-call you and if one of their people isn’t ready to talk/scam you they will hang up.
Or in this case the computer program will hang up for them and you get rescheduled in the cue.
I haven’t bothered returning their calls as I’m guessing like most of these companies you will go to a message bank for you to leave your details and they will continue to call you anyway.
And after finding out who they are I don’t bother even answering now ether.
So, I’d say for this one, they will be trying to up sell me for whatever they can.
Even though we have pretty much everything covered.
There is a Telstra number to call to opt out of their marketing if they have added you to the list or if you upgraded on the phone, like I did, you more than likely didn’t get that option and were added to the “Good to Go” list.
Just don’t answer 08 6228 4010
So if you see this phone number calling you, 08 6228 4010, don’t bother picking up the phone because more than likely there won’t be anyone on the other end anyway.
Hold on, the phone is ringing, it’s another number now, another phone number coming through from another company.
