My name is Shane and I run my blogs under the alias of Troy Spro so no one knows who I am.
This is my page where you will find out a little more about me and the reason I write about the different topics here at Troy Spro.
I have streamlined these topics a bit over the last months and am settling into TroySpro.com.au just being about Life, Music, and Travel.
There will be a bit of crossover between life and travel obviously, but I’ll sort this out as I go.
Also I have got underway with Protein Guy and started Calculate Gross Profit as well and finally, shaneday.com.au is coming soon too.

Here is a brief explanation of what you will find going on here at Troy Spro if you hang around enough to read a few things.
Travel
We (my family and I), use to live on the Northside of Brisbane, moved to Biloela up north and have in the last few years or so, have been living in Vietnam.
With a young family, we definitely get out and about and we certainly do a lot.
So I will be writing about what we have done in Brisbane, where to go, places to see etc as I write more about the beautiful City we used to live in.
Now after moving to Biloela and living in a different part of North Queensland, we got a different view of the world and got to travel to so many different places and discovered the Queensland Outback.
Then we did it all again and headed overseas to Vietnam where we currently are living.
We lived in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) for a year and then moved to Da Nang after a short stay back in Brisbane.
I haven’t got to writing about all of the places we have visited throughout Vietnam and the surrounding countries yet, but I’ll get there in the end.

So I write about day to day life in this category, the challenges of family life and also any tips I pick up on the way.
This can range from the changing your hot water system over to gas, renovating your house, banking errors, hanging a hammock, getting rid of ants and much more.
You get the drift, not travelling stuff, more just your ordinary day to day tips and musings.

Music
I started guitar when I was around 17 years old and have played guitar, bass and sung in bands in NZ and Australia since then.
I have written originals and also played in many varied cover bands (yes, from metal to disco).
I have a passion for music of all type’s and hope to pass on info, review and enlighten with my scribbles on music, playing and listening.
I have a goal to play most of my favourite songs in a one man show at a pub when I reach my retirement years and maybe smash out a few originals on the way.
So I am looking at writing about learning to play songs, bands, and instruments in this category.
I have just purchased a smaller nylon strings guitar here in Vietnam so I can start playing again, well practicing anyway.

Thanks for the tip on the firewood! Am heading out to Birdsville for this years Big Red Bash(Google it) and was after some good cheap wood to keep us warm out in the desert. Fellow Kiwi with similar interests and also live on the nth side!

We went camping a few weeks back now (I’ll be writing about it soon, so keep an eye out) and took some of the firewood out with us too.
It is good for home and for camping too, burnt all night long as Lionel Richie would say.
I have heard about the Birdsville Races out that way, but not the Big Red Bash though, I’ll definitely look it up now.

Thanks for dropping by.
If you mean this picture here “Firewood North Brisbane“, that is the amount of wood.
It was quite surprising when I piled it up in the shed.
It also lasted pretty much for all the time we needed it during winter, give or take a few fires.
I am hoping he still delivers the same amounts each year too, I know how times change.
I’d say a phone call would sort that out though.
I am up in Biloela currently, so we don’t need the wood as much up here.
